These classic, 1970s, beech bentwood, ply stacking chairs come with a great history and bags of character. Acquired from a chapel in Ipswich, they’ve been in active service there for many decades but now it’s time for them to retire into warmer, domestic surroundings! These are full-size, adult scale chairs that are contoured and comfortable – in our experience, chapel chairs and pews are often not. With a design that’s robust and neutral, they would look fantastic around a kitchen table or in a vintage dining room. They come with a shelf underneath, originally where hymn books were stowed and they stack with ease if you only require them occasionally. They come in great order. Again, we usually see these heavily chipped with splits in the ply but not so here. Have a browse through our pictures. They’ve been taken care of, thank the Lord!
