Serving up masses of seventies style is this dresser / vanity table from British maker, William Lawrence of Nottingham. We don’t often come across pieces by William Lawrence. They produced very well-made, domestic pieces to rival the likes of G Plan and Austinsuite in terms of design, build and wood quality but perhaps without the volume and far reach of those mega midcentury brands. This dresser has six drawers in graduated banks of three. We love the hidden recessed handles of the upper row and the slight curve of the drawer fronts – classic 1970s. The unusual U shaped legs cleverly form the uprights for the mirror. A smashing retro piece for the bedroom or dressing room. Storage and a spot to get ready in one.
