Italian Midcentury 1960s Red Formica & Walnut Kitchen / Breakfast Table

Isn’t this table fantastic! Everything about it is a statement… the red Formica table top, the radial bands of walnut around the edge, the dramatic curve of those tripod legs. It’s so much fun and would bring joy, energy and colour to any kitchen, family space or dining room. It hails from Italy and dates from the 1960s, with the tapered leg design nodding to space exploration, as was the fashion across much design in the mid-sixties. We love the chunky bevelled border of walnut and we love too that this is so different to the usual midcentury tables we see. With a wipe-clean top, this would suit a busy family as a informal, everyday dining / breakfast table.
